The region’s largest dedicated pediatric unit is close to home at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. At LRMC, we understand the importance of caring for both child and family. That is why we are committed to providing family-centered care by a highly-trained team of pediatric specialists.
Our 12-bed acute care program treats children from newborn to 17 years of age. The unit offers cheerful and spacious rooms, enhanced security, and two isolation beds to prevent the spread of highly contagious diseases such as meningitis and chickenpox.
Our dedicated nursing staff and Pediatric Hospitalists believe in the teaming of medical professionals (physicians and staff) with parents to ensure that each family plays a key role in the decision making for their child’s care.
A pediatric hospitalist is a pediatrician who specializes in hospital-based services. They work with your pediatrician and other providers involved in your child’s care. Your primary care physicians or pediatrician will be kept informed of your child’s progress throughout the hospital stay. Learn more...
