Science Serving Patients & Physicians
State-of-the-art medical lab facilities are close to home in The Villages and Leesburg. In 2009, Central Florida Health Alliance unveiled its new outpatient laboratory service, Alliance Labs, through a merger-partnership with an existing nationally accredited clinical laboratory group in The Villages and Leesburg.
Alliance Labs, where the bulk of all inpatient and outpatient specimen diagnostic studies are performed, has locations at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, The Villages Regional Hospital, Lake-Sumter Landing in The Villages, and in Buffalo Ridge across from The Villages High School.
Alliance Labs uses advanced equipment to test for electrolyte balance and kidney function, measure heart and liver function, monitor drug levels, measure blood clotting capabilities, and determine blood cell type and count.
Outpatient visits to Alliance Labs can be scheduled by a physician for tests in the following areas: chemistry, coagulation, cytology, hematology, histology, imummunohematology, microbiology, serology, and urinalysis.
