Medical Nutrition Therapy
Here at the LRMC Wellness Center we offer one-on-one Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) counseling and education with a Registered and Licensed Dietitian to meet patient’s individual needs and goals. MNT can be provided for various diagnoses including, but not limited to: Diabetes (Type I and II), Chronic Kidney Disease, Weight Loss/Gain, Gestational Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Cancer, Celiac Disease, Impaired Glucose Tolerance, and many more.
Currently, Medicare provides 100% coverage for Type I and Type II Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease. Private insurance coverage varies depending on each patient’s individual plan.
A referral from a physician that includes diagnosis, ICD-9 code, and physician’s signature is all that is needed to make an appointment. Please bring any recent labwork, a list of medications and supplements, and blood sugar logs to your appointment.
