The Villages Regional Hospital (TVRH), part of Central Florida Health Alliance, has been serving patients in Lake, Sumter and Marion Counties for more than 12 years. Located in the heart of America's largest retirement development—The Villages, FL—our acute care hospital was designed to bring hospitality to health care.
TVRH has received The Joint Commission's Gold Seat of Approval™ for healthcare quality and safety in hospitals and was recognized by Modern Healthcare as the fastest growing hospital in the nation in 2012. Our services include premier orthopedic care, interventional cardiology, emergency, neurosurgery and the world-renowned Moffitt Cancer Center.
Our hospital has seen tremendous growth over the last decade, creating space for new services and programs while ensuring that we have the latest surgical and diagnostic technology available to meet the ever changing health care needs of those communities we serve.
Today, The Villages Regional Hospital is investing $50 million in the health of the community through the construction of a major expansion project to meet the needs of a growing community, and to ensure an even higher level of care and service.
The new five-story North Tower is scheduled to be finished in February 2015 and will house additional inpatient and surgical beds as well as a new intensive care unit. The second phase of the expansion, which is scheduled for completion in August 2015, is highly anticipated because it will double the size of the emergency department, add operating rooms and add treatment rooms. The expansion will give TVRH the ability to better serve patients by improving access to healthcare with a total capacity of 323 acute-hospital beds.
