President and CEO Message from Lee S. Huntley

Dear Community Friend,
After two years with the Alliance, you can count me as a believer – this is a great community with a very bright future. As President & CEO of Central Florida Health Alliance, it didn’t take me long to realize that our team has an unrelenting commitment to great care, great service and to each other. Through the expansion of facilities and services, growth of our medical staff, and consistently high patient satisfaction ratings, the Alliance continually demonstrates why it is recognized as one of the nation’s top hospital systems.

A not-for-profit entity comprised of Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Hospital, the Alliance is one of the area’s largest employers and has earned top honors for its exceptional working environment. In fact, the Orlando Sentinel recently named our system in its list of the Top 100 Companies for Working Families for 2009 and the AARP honored us as one of the Best Employers in the nation for workers over 50.

Central Florida Health Alliance continues to work hard to make the system even better, with goals of providing superior medical care with demonstrated clinical outcomes while upholding a commitment to exceed our community’s expectations. We were pleased to unveil our new outpatient laboratory service, Alliance Labs, in late 2009. Through a merger-partnership with an existing nationally accredited clinical laboratory group in The Villages and Leesburg, we are now able to provide state-of-the-art medical lab facilities close to home.

With the promotions of Phyllis Baum and Tim Hawkins, two gifted CEOs positioned to operate each of our hospitals on a day to day basis, I’m now more flexible to concentrate on carrying out our business plan, connecting with community leaders, supporting our Alliance Healthcare Foundation (the fundraising arm of the Alliance), and helping our team members, physicians, and volunteers continue to create a culture of excellence to take great care of the residents of our growing communities.
