Leesburg Regional Medical Center
Raises the Roof with New Look

LRMC Renovation DrawingRenovations are more than a pretty façade. The new changes are designed for energy efficiency and comfort.

The ongoing changes to the exterior of Leesburg Regional Medical Center have been noticeable even to the most casual of passersby. The $3.8 million renovations to the nearly 50-year-old building are more than just putting on a pretty face, however, “It’s not just about the cosmetics,” said David Park, Administrative Director of Facility Management. “We are investing in the infrastructure and preparing for the next stages of growth. Most of all, we are focusing on making things better for our patients.”

An additional $1.3 million has been earmarked for improvements to interior areas and patient rooms. In the fall, renovations are scheduled for patient rooms to make them more private with a focus on safety and service. The clinical staff will enjoy redesigned nursing stations focused on improved workflow. The renovations are being staged in phases to minimize disruptions. “We’ve coordinated the process,” said Park, “and we’ve made sure that patients and visitors will not be impacted by the construction.”
